title: All about our Logo
Asalamualekom & Peace everyone!
I was asked about our logo today on our Facebook page (Join our almost 350 fans for exclusive updates and interation with our authors) so I decided to share a little but about it with you all.
When I first designed and proposed our logo there was a mixed reaction to it. A lot of people said it looks foreign, perhaps asian. Some liked it for it’s symmetry (I’m one of those) and some didn’t think it was feminine enough (although I disagree, it’s strong and feminine, see the flower in the center?).
However one of the things I loved about it was it’s ambiguity, it can mean something different to everyone! You can relate to it, it’s equally as foreign looking to everyone who see’s it, which makes it universal.
To me it symbolizes balance, strength and the sensitive beauty of femininity in the center. To make it clearer to you all I’m sharing an image of the single word that makes up the logo, ‘Wahat’ (واحة) in arabic which means ‘Oasis’.
There are 4 instances of this word in the logo, they are rotated and aligned to make the symbol.
