About Emma Apple
Founder, Editor, Author
Emma, a kiwi mother of 2, converted to Islam as a teenager in mid 2001 and has been known online ever since for efforts to spread understanding about Islam among Muslims and Non Muslims. Emma is a Professional Designer, an Artist and a Published Writer & Children’s Illustrator.
Emma had all but given up on the online dawah (spreading Islamic information) efforts by 2005 and finally, years later, her involvement with Muslim women’s online forums inspired her to create a place that encourages Muslim women to use their voices and energy for positive affect and to share their hard earned knowledge with a larger audience.
Without realizing it her original idea from 2001 came full circle. Muslimas’ Oasis is the matured version of the humble efforts Emma began to spread understanding of Islam and Muslim Women as a new convert all those years ago.
